The most famous personality of Islam –Hazrat Ali (R.A) who is known by various names as Ameer ul momineen, the Lion of God, Imam Ali, the Great Warrior of Islam. He was the first child who accepted Islam, he was the only child who born in Holy Kabah and was the fourth caliph of Islam.
Hazrat Ali was born in Mecca in a well-known family of Qureshi tribe, bani Hashim, his father name was Abu Talib who was the son of Abdul Muttalib, his mother name was Fatima binte Asad, and she was the cousin of Abu Talib, both father and mother of Hazrat Ali (R.A) were Hashimites. Abdullah and Abu Talib were real brothers and were the sons of Abdul Muttalib, Abu Talib was the custodian of holy Kabah and was the uncle of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), so Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Hazrat Ali (R.A) were first cousins and had a common grandfather named as Hazrat Abdul Mutalib. Hazrat Ali (R.A) was born after 30 years of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Hazrat Ali (R.A) had an honor of being born inside the Holy Kabah, after his birth his mother Fatima wanted to name her child “Asad” and his father Abu Talib wanted to name his child “Zaid” but when Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) and his wife Hazrat Khadija (R.A) came to see their newborn in their home, it was the time he opened his eyes first time after birth and saw the face of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), he said because the child was born in the House of Allah, he should be named as Ali. When Hazrat Ali (R.A) reached the age of 10, he was the first child who accepted Islam and started the preaching of Islam with Holy Prophet (PBHU) and was one of the greatest companions of Holy Prophet (PBUH). Hazrat Ali (R.A) was the son in law of Holy Prophet after marrying with beloved daughter of Prophet Muhammad, Hazrat Fatima (R.A), both had 5 children named as; Hassan(R.A), Husain( R.A) , Zainab (R.A), Hazrat Kalsoom(R.A) and Mohsin( R.A), he fought many battles for Islam with courage, bravery and boldness named as; Ghazwa Tabuk, Ghazwa Badr, Ghazwa Uhed and Ghazwa Khandaq, Ghazwa Khaiber, due to his bravery and courageness Prophet (PBUH) gave him a tittle “AsadUllah” “The Lion of Allah”, being a great scholar of Arabic language and Quran, his lectures and quotations are compiled in the form of several books, among them few quoted are as below;
